Bristol Saracens AGM

Our 2017 AGM proved to once again be a very enjoyable day and we would like to thank Bristol Saracens RFC for hosting the event.



Members had the opportunity to buy memorabilia from stall holders and participate in our annual auction of items, all of which were very kindly donated. (Included in this year’s auction were a selection of British Lions team photographs donated by Bryn Meredith along with his Lions tour kit bag).



The highlight of the day was our Guest Speaker, former Bristol Captain and England International Mike Rafter who spoke about his early passion for football before being introduced to Rugby by his History teacher ‘Elwyn Price’ who was a big influence on his Rugby career. Mike spoke very fondly of his playing & coaching days with Bristol, Gloucestershire and England, before discussing his current role at the RFU as a citing commissioner.

Winning the John Player Cup with Bristol in 1983 was his own words the highlight of a very successful Rugby career.
